Built Around Your Home
About BACK Construction
People Behind the Work
Who We Are
Since 1981, BACK Construction has been more than just a remodeler—we are an employee-owned design-build partner for homeowners across Lexington and Central Kentucky. We care for your home the same way we’d care for our own, always honoring our commitment to craftsmanship, transparent communication, and thoughtful design.
What started as residential framing and barn-building has evolved into a full-service firm. Today, our team designs, renovates, and transforms kitchens, bathrooms, exteriors, and more—with roofing, windows & doors, handyman services, and architectural design all handled under one roof by our certified professionals.
What truly distinguishes BACK Construction isn’t just the projects we complete—it’s how we complete them. As a 100% employee-owned company, every member of our team has skin in the game; we take personal pride in every detail, from the initial concept to the final walkthrough. Our goal is durable beauty, honest partnerships, and homes that stand the test of time.
For over four decades, we’ve built more than just homes—we’ve built a reputation. Built on trust, strengthened by local roots, and grounded in a craft-first approach, BACK Construction remains dedicated to elevating remodeling standards in Central Kentucky. Your vision, your values, your satisfaction—that’s our blueprint.
Built on Trust and Craftsmanship
A Company Built to Last — And Built to Care
At the heart of our success is something we call The BACK Way — a thoughtful, documented approach to remodeling that ensures consistency, communication, and craftsmanship from start to finish. Every employee, partner, and division is trained in this process, which is rooted in planning, preparation, collaboration, and clear communication.
We’ve created a remodeling experience that’s not only efficient and professional, but also smooth, pleasant, and even enjoyable. From the first call to the final walkthrough — and through warranty service — our clients know what to expect, and that’s what sets us apart.
Our clients are typically experienced homeowners who understand the value of investing in their homes — and in the team they hire to transform them. Many are too busy for DIY solutions or hesitant to trust their space to a company that cuts corners. They want a firm with a track record, a refined process, and a team that communicates with care. That’s why they choose BACK.
The BACK Difference
